The app is suitable for formative evaluation, and offers gamified access, the ability to create a survey in minutes, and a wide range of pre-built evaluation games. There is a free version and a paid version offering more options.

It is the first such platform or medium which aims at creating a positive outlook by generating: collaboration, emotions, connections, and bonding. Ability to present Kahoot tests in synchronous or asynchronous ways.

Assessment question types: Quiz, True/False, Puzzle, Type Answer.

Polling and discussion question types: Poll, Word cloud, Open-ended question, Brainstorm.

Interactive presentation features: Slider importer, Slides, Premium image library.

Kahoot teachers can share and download reports.

Kahoot can be integrated with MS Teams, Zoom, MS PowerPoint, and Hopin.


1.1.4.   Exercise No. 1. Sign up

Go to  Kahoot! | Learning games | Make learning awesome! To use Kahoot, you must register. First, you need to choose an account type, in our case, it will be "Teacher". Then you have to describe your place of work, in this case, it will be "Higher Education".

After that, you have to create an account. Choose the method of account creation that suits you.

Once you're registered, log in to Kahoot. Login link: Kahoot!

1.1.6.   Exercise No. 3. Create a Kahoot quiz

Once you are logged in, click "Create" and select "Kahoot". You can choose from a variety of options; we recommend choosing from the available templates.


Let's choose Kahoot! For formative assessment". Then add a question and 4 possible answers. The answer marked with a green dot is the correct answer. Let's say we are creating a test for management studies. The first question would be: "1. In what organisation structure the project manager's authority and resource availability are little or none?". The correct answer is "Functional".




You can add as many questions as You need. Press “Preview”. If everything is ok, press “Save”.

1.1.7.   Exercise No. 4. Share with your students


Once you've saved Kahoot, you can try it out, play it with your students and share it with others. Click "Play Now". Then select "Start". Select "Classic mode". A game PIN will then be generated. Share the QR code or PIN with your students. Students can log in with their PIN using the Kahoot. it/join link. Alternatively, use the QR code reader app to generate a link to the Kahoot test.

The student has to enter his/her "Nickname" on the Kahoot. it/join the website and click on "OK, go ahead!". The student should see their nickname on the teacher's screen. The teacher can click "Start" to start the test.

Students have to select the correct answer on their devices. The teacher must click "Next" after each question until the end of the test. A winner's podium is presented after all the test questions.
