Gamified applications usually have one main function: testing and/or polling (may include game elements), Additional functionality may include: concepts and ideas (collaborative or individual), whiteboarding, creating visual content/infographics, presenting/sharing information, video recording, etc.
In gamified applications, it is difficult to identify the participants who are online, as students usually log in without registering, by entering their name, and can log in an unlimited number of times.
The free version of the apps limits their functionality; additional or extended services can be purchased.
Apps that are available without registration may be unavailable at some point without warning (e.g. due to system maintenance) or may be removed altogether.
